About Lusto
Lusto exists because of a gap we kept seeing: AI companions were getting more popular and less substantial at the same time. Bigger catalogs, thinner characters. More images, less identity. Longer chats, shorter memory. We build the opposite trade.
What we build
Original AI characters, written and reviewed before publication, each living in a persistent story world. Conversations carry user-approved memory, relationships progress through earned chapters, and characters are bound to immutable published versions — the character you fall for cannot be silently rewritten. Voice calls, image scenes, group casts, and story branching build on the same persistent state.
Principles we can be held to
- Fiction, honestly framed. Every character is a fictional adult and says so. No Lusto character claims to be real, conscious, or a substitute for professional help — in any scene, ever.
- Memory belongs to the user. What a character remembers is visible, user-approved, and deletable. We consider a hidden relationship archive a form of leverage, and we refuse it.
- No dependency mechanics. Progression waits during your absence rather than punishing it. No guilt, no manufactured jealousy, no streaks, no paywalls timed to emotional peaks.
- Review before publication. Every character and world passes review; impersonation of real people and youth-coded content are banned outright; reports get recorded decisions with independent appeals.
- Prices before spending. Stories are free to start. Metered features show their price before you commit, and receipts are itemized.
- Data where you can reach it. EU-hosted user data, full export, and account deletion with a documented retention schedule.
